It’s funny sometimes how quickly things can change. I recorded this show this afternoon with plans to go out later in the evening. I got behind schedule, became subject to an impromptu dog-sitting, had to scrap my plans and found out that John McCain had all but canceled the RNC activites for Monday…all in the course of about 3 hours.
Take this episode as you will. Being as my RNC plans have changed (see above link) since recording it earlier this afternoon it’s only about 2/3 relevant. I’m leaving it as is and providing all links as usual. The police and FBI round-up of protesters and self declared anarchists has been swift and frightening over the past 48 hours and I’ve provided a bit of info and local links on that situation.
I’ll be doing a few 10-15 minute shows this week as well. No politics, I promise!
Stream, download link and relevant links below.
31min, 40 sec (22mb)
Can’t stream it? Download it! (right click below link and hit ’save as’)
- Religious ethics vs. doing your job – A recent California Supreme Court decision has some religious ‘civil rights’ groups crying foul. Apparently it’s not OK to refuse service to someone because you don’t agree with their lifestyle! Imagine that…
- In which I mention politics – General thoughts as the DNC wraps up, the RNC approaches and Gustav winds up to sack the south. (that already ‘dated’ bit I mentioned above)
- Sarah Who? – Brief commentary on Palin, clearly revealing I know little to nothing about her. She’s better than Romney or Pawlenty though.
It’s come to my attention that placing links to story content on a separate page is a bit of a hassle. From here on out all links will be on the story links page but I’ll have them on each episodes original post as well.

– great site for news off the street as it happens

– Daily Kos. Great read, a lot to digest. I can’t speak for the validity of the piece but it is well put together.
– Insights courtesy of the Friendy Atheist.
– Apparently she has something against polar bears
- The folks over at ‘Answers in Genesis’ aren’t fully convinced that she’s got enough creo-cred to be considered a “biblical young-earth creationist”. Not a joke, not a Poe…pure humor.
